The picture, which appears when you are
arriving at Lake Gosau is one of the most famous in the whole alps.
On the right side the lake is marked off the peaks of Gosaukamm. In
the back above the galciar 2996 m high Dachstein is raising.
Below of the western wall of Hohes Kreuz you can see from the lake
a hut called Adamekhütte which is situated at an altitude of
2196 m. It can just be reached by foot in about 3 - 4 hours.
Lake Gosau is 1520 m long, 450 m wide and its depth is about 96 m.
The lake is lying 930 m above sea level. At the lake it is possible
to rent boats.
Going around the lake takes about 60 to 80 minutes. The small gravel
road is flat and suitable for perambulaters. Be careful with kids
because on some parts the road falls down to the lake very steep.
Of course you can also extend your walk to the "Upper lake".

Der Gosausee ist Ausgangspunkt
für zahlreiche Wanderungen im Dachsteingebiet: der Aufstieg zur
Adamekhütte ist sicherlich der
Klassiker. Gemütlicher ist es da schon, wenn man mit der Seilbahn
auf die Zwieselalm fährt. Kurze Strecken kann man da sogar mit
dem Kinderwagen zurücklegen. 2007 standen auf der Bergstation
Kinderwagen zur - soweit ich mich erinnere - kostenlosen Entlehnung
bereit. Ich bitte sich vorher zu erkundigen.
Von der Zwieselalm führt der Herrenweg
nach Gosau, eine gemütliche Wanderung, die auch sehr beliebt
ist.
Anspruchsvoll wird es wieder, wenn man rund um den Gosaukamm geht.
Wer jedoch die nötige Kondition mitbringt, wird begeistert sein.
In den letzten Jahren wurde auch der Donnerkogel wieder sehr beliebt,
was hauptsächlich auf den neu errichteten Klettersteig zurückzuführen
ist. |
